The Messy Truth…
“Common sense is the collection of prejudices acquired by age eighteen.”
–Albert Einstein
While monsters do in fact exist, most fail to see the hidden one; the one behind the eyes of the person in their mirror.
We as a collective species cast out those specimens, that deviate too far from the norms of society.
Over time, social norms codify into hard laws. The law then becomes a tool for culling out the morally malformed.
But mother nature, or creation itself has the Natural Order which may often come, at times, into contest with Human Law. The law of biology and the law of the Heart are non-responsive to the dictates of Vox Populi, its not that aren’t willing to obey, its that they are immune and immutable. The only thing that could (in practical theory) be brought to bear is the brutal force of pschopharmacology.
We live in an age, where milliseconds separate two persons on opposite sides of the globe. No longer are people limited to the line of eyesight, or earshot for the eventual phenomenon called love. I can say, first hand, that Love in Cyberspace exists…
And for the smaller group of dissident minds, who have dared to think and Love afar off, instead of ride herd in groupthink, there is a hard price.
Overcoming the generational gap, and in the meeting of the minds, a place can be found. A cyber-place of mutual respect, and fulfilling of each others need, comes at the cost of comforting physical contact. There is no silent dwelling in the empty spaces together, holding of the hand, or inhaling the scent of each others breath. No deep gazing into the windows of the soul, and abiding in a tangible love.
While it is more clinically removed from a hothouse fleshspace, it remains no less viable and is quite real.
The wise will refrain from overreaching, and taking fleshly liberties with their partners. Remaining content with flirting with the edge of socially correct behavior. The foolish will pluck the unripened grapes and cherries before time… and choke on the bitter fruit, when their actions produce the corresponding consequence.
Nonetheless…
Intra-generational love can indeed thrive, and provided no party engages in Sexting or PrOn manufacture, the Law enforcement officials are virtually helpless, to render such love extinct. Its not the law, but instead the lovers themselves, whom are likely to kill their own relationship.
It seems to me, that failures in communication would be the chief culprit.
PS
Please enjoy the following musical statement…
provided by the talented yet baby faced wholesomeness of “Alizée”:
“I can say, first hand, that Love in Cyberspace exists…”
Yeah sure. And I’ve got ice in Antarctica to sell you.
Grow up, dude.
What’s with all the extended adololescence in this crazy country???
Au Contrary to your statement, I married my wife out of a 6 month cyberelationship.
Looking forward to a cyber divorce, are ya’?
You have errored in thinking, that I would choose a wife who is corrupted by feminist flim-flam, that’s from the US, and would actually contemplate divorce.
I chose very very carefully.
Hahahaha.
The girl is totally cute… but imo, she’s a little too slutty, using the wrong role models and dragging her little sister into an inappropriate situation
